Hello and Welcome to the farm!
I thought an introduction was appropriate, I mean what is a farm without the farmers right? We are the Mayfield's, typical southern family of 5. My husband, Thomas and I were high school sweet hearts. We married right out of high school and learned a lot of life's lessons the hard way. We eventualy grew up and started our family with a bang- Twin girls! Rylee and Savannah are extremely active, Did I mention they are teenagers?
Both girls are a great help on the farm and each have their very on niche when it comes to farm work. Rylee is the barn hand. She loves (most of the time) helping with the animals, pony parties, petting farms and every day TLC for the animals when she is not training for JROTC. Savannah is our beauty expert, her specialty is goat milk soap, scrubs and our all natural beauty products when she is not playing softball.
The fun didn't stop there. Then along came Paisley. You may have seen her featured in several pictures on our website. She absolutely loves the farm, she is always willing to help out in any way she can, when she is not riding horses. Some of her favorites include the local farmers market, grooming, and ANYTHING baby animals.
Our girls keep us on our toes, but we wouldn't have it any other way. My husband Thomas is a retired Captain for our local fire department and now a business owner of Mayfield's Lawncare and Landscaping- so he stays pretty busy. And as for me, I mean who needs sleep?
My name is Lana, nice to meet you. I have a full time job as a nurse along with office manager, marketing, production, packaging, cook, house keeper, coordinator and taxi service for all our adventures. (sigh) I wouldn't change it for the world. We are blessed beyond measure and I can't wait to take you all on our crazy life journey.
